1. In order to upload vids, you'll need an FTP program, and you'll need the login info for the ftp account. To get the login info, you'll need to contact me through AIM (mjf345) or MSN (mjf345_at_hotmail_dot_com). In AIM, I block everyone not on my buddy list, so if you aren't already on it, you'll need to contact me some other way first to give me your sn.
2. If you don't already know how to use an FTP program, read my Tutorial on uploading vids to wrvids.com
3. Don't give out the login info to anyone, regardless of the person's trustworthiness. Everyone who wants to upload vids should contact me first, and only me.
4. Don't upload anything that's illegal in the US, especially blatant copyright infringement, libel, or child pornography.
5. You must include enough info about the vid in its filename, or I'll delete the vid. The filename for any gaming vid you upload should include the name of the track or game, the type of challenge (only applies to some vids), the time/score, and the last name of the player (for example, something like yv-2618-Fried or dkc100%-50-Kisman). Feel free to include extra info for vids in your personal folder, but files in public folders should be named consistently, and the same as other vids in the folder.
6. Don't delete stuff that other people uploaded, unless you're absolutely sure that the file isn't appropriate and doesn't belong on the site. If you're not sure, just let me know about the file and I'll decide if I wanna delete it or not.
7. Feel free to upload any kind of gaming vid for any game, world record or non-world record, but you must keep it to 1 folder per game series, and 1 sub-folder per game. Do not upload videos to the main folder for a game series, or people might not know which game the video is for. Feel free to create sub-folders within a game folder, if appropriate, to organize the vids. If you have a fastest available vid, you should upload it at least to the fastest available vids folder, but may also upload it to your personal folder.
8. For other vids, you may either upload your vids to the main folder for a game, or you can make your own personal folder with just your own vids. Just do whichever you prefer.
9. Feel free to create your own personal folder for the purpose of hosting any random gaming-related stuff. If you don't want other people to be able upload to your folder, let me know so I can create a new FTP account for you.
